Dresden High School was built in the 1970s and is located on Highway 22 in Dresden, Tennessee. We are two and one-half miles from the court square. Dresden High School is a four-year public high school. As a result of consolidation in 1997-'98, the major feeder school is Dresden Middle School.
The school facilities include 30 academic classrooms, three science laboratories, five vocational technical areas, a theater, a gymnasium, chorus room, football stadium and field house, a cafeteria, a library media center, a guidance area and several administrative offices. Dresden High School students attend school for 180 days a year. The school day begins at 7:42 a.m. and ends at 2:42 p.m. The school schedule is planned around a 4 x 4 block schedule, with each class meeting for 90 minutes. The teacher's day is from 7:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., with extra help sessions available some mornings and afternoons.
